Greetings!
Welcome to P188X@ H790 located on the Mott Haven Campus! At our high school, students are provided ample opportunities to explore and acquire skills that prepare them for their future endeavors through career exploration and tailored instruction that meets their individual needs. The P188X school community prepares students in becoming independent learners within their communities and daily lives.
As young adults, students at H790 are not only provided equal access to an education, but one that embraces all facets, including their social emotional well-being. The staff has cultivated a nurturing environment for all students and their families. We are committed to collaborating with families in ensuring that every child is provided with the best education possible beyond our set curriculum. Our school mission is driven by creating long-life learners that exemplify our diverse population.
We are the RAMS (Respect, Achieve, Motivate and Succeed) where career and college readiness is promoted through student self-advocacy. Our partnership with outside organizations and exposure to experiences beyond the classroom setting set the stage for student success.

Our Activities of Daily Living (ADL) classrooms is fully equipped with a kitchen, washer and dryer. It is in this classroom that students will gain the skills to live independently as adults. Students learn meal preparation, shopping skills, and grooming skills. It is our goal to have all students procure some form of independence prior to transitioning into the adult world.
Our Classrooms
In keeping with the age of technology, all of our classrooms are equipped with state of the art SmartBoards. Utilizing SmartBoards has revolutionized the instruction process. Students are engaged and teachers have a more hands-on approach to teaching. Technology is a major component in the 21st Century and we are equipped to provide our students with the skills necessary to succeed in the world.
