The Office of District Planning posted a proposal: The Proposed Opening and Co-location of P188X@X138, a New Site of Existing District 75 School P.S. X188 (75X188), with P.S. 138 Samuel Randall (08X138) in Building X138 in the 2025-2026 School Year .The Joint Public Hearing (JPH) for this proposal will be held via teleconference on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 6pm at https://learndoe.org/districtplanning/. The attached JPH notice has information on how to access the JPH via teleconference and dial-in.

Fall 2025
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter with you and look forward to the exciting experiences and growth ahead.
To our returning students, welcome back! To our new students and families, welcome to the P188X community. We’re excited to support you on your journey, especially as we celebrate the opening of our new site at P138X—a wonderful expansion of our mission and services.
This year, we continue our commitment to wellness, innovation, and reimagined learning. Our theme is:“P188X: Advancing success, independence, and wellness through engaging partnerships.”
Our mascot, the RAMS, reminds us to: Respect, Achieve, Motivate, Succeed.

We encourage students to get involved in class, PBIS, and student government. We’re proud to continue our partnership with CEI (Center for Educational Innovation) through CS for All. Families, your partnership is vital. Please stay connected, attend events, and help us create a memorable year.

• Follow our Distraction-Free Cell Phone Policy.
• Keep your contact info, physicals, immunizations, and medical alerts updated.
• Bring NYCPS-issued iPads daily.
• Review and provide school supplies.
• Attend all school appointments (virtual or in-person).
• Keep prohibited items at home (e.g., gang-related items, bikes, toys, large sums of money, etc.).You’ll receive a welcome letter from your child’s teacher and related service providers, along with supply lists and other key documents.
